Orientation Week

Hey what's up!? So here we go folks. ACTION 2010 has brought together quite the group for DR. Congo this summer. From all over North America we have created a very dynamic group. It's been non stop laughs since we've entered each others lives. It's not all laughs though. We can be serious... sometimes.

So lets introduce the team. We are fearlessly led by Jared Klassen and Kelly Neufeld. Jared spent the last few months gallivanting the middle east and popping down over to the DR Congo for a week before coming to meet us. He just couldn't wait, selfishly experiencing the country before he even met his team. typical, but now he has worms. Kelly has proven her potential to top model this week. From fanny packs to fierce intensity, she swimmingly leads with grace and poise. Jared and Kelly complete each other. The men of the team both reside in Winnipeg. How have they never met? They only share the same group of friends. Cory J Bell and Jeff Tuninga have finally joined forces to take on the world, or atleast Gretna. Cory J Bell has spent the week plotting his strategy in the rare chance that we are forced to vote each other out until only one remains to claim the title of Action 2010. Jeff has spent his week bingeing on desserts, double dipping at the table even when all sense and reason is telling him no. The woman of the team have both come to their senses and migrated north of their homeland. However, although a wise choice, we have spent many hours trying to teach them our culture. For example, GAD does not exist. We wear pants not 'ponts' and no, i will not say sArry for this being published in the blog. Alyssa returns to ACTION for a second summer hoping to find love. I don't really know why I just wrote that, it just seems like it fits. Brittany is definitely not in Kansas anymore. Clicking your heels will only get you on a plane over to Congo in a Villa doing the 30 Day shred. Although little, her vibrant personality just lights up our team.

But all jokes aside, we have spent this week bonding and growing as a team. It has been an honor working with this team. We are excited to leave for the D R Congo on Sunday. God has done some amazing work already in each of our lives here. Pray for safety as we travel. Pray that Jeff would return to us from his sisters wedding in time to join us on our adventure. AND pray for the other teams going to Japan, Peru and Lithuania.

Here are some pictures of our group. Enjoy!!!
